Meet Ivanhoe’s New AI Assistants: A Faster Way to Find the Information You Need
Finding HOA Information Shouldn’t Be Difficult
Homeowners associations generate a lot of information.
There are governing documents, rules, forms, meeting minutes, security information, Architectural Review requirements, community announcements, vendor resources, utility contacts and countless other things residents may need from time to time.
The problem has traditionally been finding the right information when you actually need it.
That’s one of the reasons we’ve added AI-powered assistants to the new Ivanhoe Estates website and Resident Community.
The goal is simple:
Instead of figuring out where the information lives, start by asking the question.
The Public Ivanhoe Website Assistant
Visitors to ivanhoe-estates.com will notice a chat assistant available throughout the website.
This assistant is designed to help with general Ivanhoe information and navigating the public website.
You might ask:
“What is the Route 60 gatehouse number?”
“Who handles trash collection?”
“Where can I find community vendors?”
“How do I contact the HOA?”
“Where is the Architectural Review form?”
“What events are coming up?”
“Where can I find homes for sale?”
“What number should I call for a power outage?”
Rather than clicking through several pages, the assistant can help point you toward the information already available across the Ivanhoe website.
A Different Assistant for Approved Residents
The more significant capability becomes available inside the private Ivanhoe Estates Resident Community.
Because access to that community is limited to approved Ivanhoe homeowners and residents, we can make resident-only resources available there that should not be exposed on the public website.
That includes HOA documents and other private community materials.
The resident-side assistant can therefore help residents navigate questions involving subjects such as:
Bylaws
Declaration and covenants
Rules and regulations
Architectural Review requirements
HOA forms
Board and meeting materials
Resident resources
Other documents stored within the private community
Imagine having a question about an exterior home improvement.
Instead of opening several documents and searching through dozens of pages, a resident can begin by asking the assistant about the applicable Architectural Review information and where to find the relevant materials.
Or if you want to understand where something is addressed in the governing documents, the assistant can help you locate the relevant information much more quickly.
Why There Are Two Different Assistants
This distinction is intentional.
The public Ivanhoe Estates website contains information appropriate for residents, prospective residents and the general public.
The private Resident Community contains information intended specifically for verified Ivanhoe residents.
That means:
Public Website AI
General Ivanhoe information and website navigation.
Resident Community AI
More detailed assistance with private HOA information and resident-only resources.
Keeping those environments separate allows us to make information easier to access without making private HOA resources publicly available.
AI Helps Find Information — It Doesn’t Replace the Documents
There is an important limitation residents should understand.
The AI assistant is designed to make information easier to find and understand. It does not replace the official HOA documents, Board decisions or formal interpretations of Association requirements.
If an AI response and an official governing document were ever inconsistent, the official document controls.
Similarly, questions requiring an official HOA determination should still be submitted to the Association.
Think of the assistant as a much better way to find the starting point.
Part of a Larger Ivanhoe Upgrade
The AI assistants are just one part of the broader technology improvements we’ve made.
The expanded Ivanhoe website now includes information covering community life, security, news and events, vendors, homes for sale, emergency contacts, utilities, HOA resources and more.
The new private Resident Community adds:
Community discussions
Resident announcements
HOA Shared Files
Governing documents
Meeting information
Resident resources
And AI-assisted access to that information
Our goal is not to add technology simply for the sake of technology.
It is to make living in Ivanhoe a little easier.
If you have a question, we want you to be able to find the answer.
If you need a document, we want it to be accessible.
And if there’s something happening around Ivanhoe, we want residents to have an easy way to stay connected.
Try It Yourself
Visit ivanhoe-estates.com and try asking the website assistant a question.
If you’re an Ivanhoe resident, be sure to register for the new private Resident Community as well. Once your membership has been approved, you’ll have access to the expanded resident resources available inside the portal.
We’re continuing to improve both systems, and resident feedback will help us make them even more useful over time.
