Welcome Home

Security is part of our community.

Our security professionals are often the first people residents, guests, contractors and delivery drivers interact with when entering Ivanhoe.

Their role goes beyond opening a gate. They help manage access, assist residents, welcome visitors and help our neighborhood operate smoothly every day.

Security works best when residents and the people serving our community know how to work together. Below you'll find information about security leadership, gate access, visitor management and important resident procedures.

Visitor Management

GateAccess

Ivanhoe uses GateAccess as its access-control system. Residents can manage guests, visitors and contractors from a computer or through the GateAccess smartphone app.

  • Add and remove guests
  • Add visitors and contractors
  • Set temporary or permanent access
  • Add pet information and photographs
  • Update contact information
  • Review admitted guest history

Expecting Someone? Call Ahead.

If you know that a guest, contractor, service provider or delivery is on the way, please help our security team by adding them to GateAccess or calling the gatehouse before they arrive.

Calling ahead reduces delays at the gate and allows officers to process expected visitors more efficiently.

If someone arrives and is not listed in GateAccess, security will contact the resident for approval before allowing entry.

Gatehouse Guidelines

Security Do's & Don'ts

A few simple practices make gate access easier for residents, visitors and the security professionals serving our community.

Do

  • Add expected guests, visitors and contractors to GateAccess.
  • Call the gatehouse ahead of time when you know a delivery, contractor, service provider or visitor is coming.
  • Keep your telephone number and contact information current in GateAccess.
  • Let security know when a visitor requires access for a specific date or extended period of time.
  • Place your Ivanhoe vehicle sticker in the lower-left corner of your windshield so officers can identify resident vehicles quickly.
  • Treat our security professionals with courtesy and help them keep the gate operating efficiently.

Don't

  • Do not give your personal gate entry code to guests, contractors, delivery drivers or service providers.
  • Do not use your personal resident code as a substitute for properly authorizing a visitor.
  • Don't assume security knows someone is coming. Add the person through GateAccess or call ahead.
  • Don't leave permanent visitor or contractor permissions active when that person no longer requires ongoing access.
  • Don't hesitate to contact the gatehouse if you have a question about visitor access or your GateAccess account.
After-Hours Access

When the Gatehouse Is Closed

Both gatehouses are staffed daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

DoorKing provides resident and visitor access outside staffed gatehouse hours.

Personal Entry Code

Residents receive a personal entry code for their household. Enter the pound sign (#) followed by your assigned code. Personal entry codes should only be used by people living at the residence and should never be shared with visitors, contractors or delivery drivers.

Telephone Entry

Guests can use the DoorKing system to call the resident associated with the home. After confirming who is calling, residents can press 9 on their telephone to open the gate.

Need Your Credentials?

Individual entry codes, DoorKing information and account credentials are provided directly to residents. Contact a gatehouse if you need assistance.

Resident Vehicles

Stickers & Transponders

Proper placement helps security recognize resident vehicles and allows gate equipment to operate efficiently.

01

Ivanhoe Vehicle Sticker

Place your Ivanhoe community sticker in the lower-left corner of the windshield. This location makes the sticker easier for security officers to see when identifying resident vehicles.

02

Gate Transponder

Mount your transponder in the upper-right corner of the windshield. This positioning helps the transponder communicate with the sensor positioned on the passenger side when entering the gates.
